Since I had to miss this year’s L5P Halloween Parade, I’m planning to get my fix at the Homegrown Decatur Halloween Parade on October 28, 2012.

The parade steps off at 4:00 p.m., and it features a classic car parade, the Dead Ends Hearse Club, a ghoulish marching band, floats, the Atlanta Roller Girls & Derby Brats, and more. The parade starts at the post office at 520 West Ponce de Leon Avenue, turns right onto Church Street, turns right onto Trinity Place, and ends at N. McDonough St.

Want to join in the fun? Anyone may don a costume & participate in the parade. Walkers should gather in the post office parking lot by 3:30 p.m.

Before the parade, stop by Little Shop of Stories (133 A East Court Square) for a Halloween Party Storytime. The festivities start at 3:00 p.m., and costumes are encouraged.
