evltrbox_openstudioThis looks like an awesome opportunity for teens:

From 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, high schoolers can head to the Greene Family Education Center at the High Museum of Art for a free Open Studio event.

During Open Studio events, teens can get creative while working with a variety of materials, from charcoal & paint to metal & fabric. The projects vary each month, so be prepared to experiment. In March, you’ll create a mini clay character inspired by the landscapes in Cross Country exhibition. Teen Team members and Shannon Mulkey, founder of the Indie Craft Experience, will be around to lend a hand.

Can’t make it? Mark your calendars for upcoming Open Studio events, which take place on the first Friday of the month:

  • April 7: Make a block print of your favorite pattern in the Modern and Contemporary collection
  • May 5: Paint a masterpiece inspired by your favorite work of art

All levels & groups are welcome, but Open Studio events are open to high school students only.

The High Museum of Art is located at 1280 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta.
