evltrbox_openstudioThis looks like an awesome opportunity for teens:

From 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, high schoolers can head to the Greene Family Education Center at the High Museum of Art for a free Open Studio event.

During Open Studio events, teens can get creative while working with a variety of materials, from charcoal & paint to metal & fabric. The projects vary each month, so be prepared to experiment. In April, you’ll make a block print of your favorite pattern in the Modern and Contemporary collection. Teen Team members and Shannon Mulkey, founder of the Indie Craft Experience, will be around to lend a hand.

Can’t make it? Mark your calendars for the next Open Studio event, which takes place on the first Friday of the month. On May 5, you’ll paint a masterpiece inspired by your favorite work of art.

All levels & groups are welcome, but Open Studio events are open to high school students only.

The High Museum of Art is located at 1280 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta.
