velveteenThough I’ll be taking my girls to see The Velveteen Rabbit at Serenbe Playhouse later this week, I’m sharing the deals again before I review it because I noticed that discount tickets are starting to sell out for some performances.

The Velveteen Rabbit will be at Serenbe Playhouse through July 27, 2013. If you’re not familiar with the work, here’s the quick summary: “There once was a Velveteen Rabbit, splendid and new. Travel to a time when toys were sewn with stitches and before modern technologies became all the rage in this original adaptation of the Margery Williams’ classic. Serenbe Playhouse’s The Velveteen Rabbit will remind children of all ages that being real isn’t how you are made, but a feeling that can change you forever.”

Even better: Robyn Rebecca Young, Creator of Concept for The Velveteen Rabbit, describes the play this way: “In creating the concept, I imagined The Velveteen Rabbit had it been written by Edgar Allan Poe and then made into a children’s film by Tim Burton, taking the heart of the original, but adding in a unique Southern Gothic flare.”

Want to see it on the cheap? You have a few ways to get discount tickets:

The Velveteen Rabbit will take place at The Grange Creek (Entrance at Fern’s Market in Serenbe), 10642 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills. Since it’s an open-air production, you’ll need to bring your own seating.
