This is on my short list of shows to see; I love the non-Disney spins on classic fairy tales (though I remain a sucker for Disney versions, too). Per the summary, “Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of The Sound of Music and South Pacific that’s delighting audiences with its contemporary take on the classic tale. This lush production features an incredible orchestra, jaw-dropping transformations, and all the moments you love–the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball, and more–plus some surprising new twists! Be transported back to your childhood as you rediscover some of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including ‘In My Own Little Corner,’ ‘Impossible/It’s Possible,’ and ‘Ten Minutes Ago,’ in this hilarious and romantic Broadway experience for anyone who’s ever had a wish, a dream, or a really great pair of shoes.”
Want to see it on the cheap? You’ve got a few ways to save:
- While they last, you can get discount tickets to select performances of Cinderella, thanks to an offer on Goldstar. As of today (October 23), Goldstar has tickets to the 7:30 p.m. performances on November 3-5, 2015.
- And Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is offering $25 Student Rush Tickets for all performances of Cinderella during its Atlanta run. FYI: Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is planning a dress drive benefiting local nonprofit, Athena’s Warehouse, to help provide gently used prom dresses to teen girls in need. From November 3-8, patrons can donate gently used prom dresses at a donation table set up in the lobby of the Fox Theatre before each performance.
Can’t make it to the show? Visit the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta booth at the Atlanta Arts Festival (October 25-26) or Chastain Park Arts Festival (November 7-8) to drop off your dress donation.
