Except as disclosed in these Terms, Atlanta on the Cheap does not sell or disclose any personally identifiable information it collects about its users nor does it make it possible for third parties to contact its users directly.

Personal Information: Atlanta on the Cheap collects and maintains a list of email addresses, Twitter account names,  and similar information. Atlanta on the Cheap collects this information on a voluntary basis in order to provide its users with automatic updates of its content, and this information is not sold to or shared with other parties other than third-party services, such as Google Feedburner, which it uses to manage its subscription services. To unsubscribe, subscribers can click on the link in the email updates, delete their AtlantaOnTheCheap.com forum account, or adjust their subscription services at third-party websites, such as Twitter or Facebook. When posting comments on Atlanta on the Cheap, the site prompts users to enter a user name, email address, and optional website; the email address is not made public on the website and is used for verification purposes only. Atlanta on the Cheap reserves the right to disclose any and all personal information it collects both as required by law and when that disclosure is necessary to protect or defend its rights, property or users and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on Atlanta on the Cheap.

Public Website: Atlanta on the Cheap is a public website. Any information users post in its comments section or any other part of the website can and will be publically available, unless otherwise specified in these Terms.  Atlanta on the Cheap is not responsible for any information, personal or otherwise, users choose to submit on its website and/or any third-party contacts that result thereof.

Children: Atlanta on the Cheap does not intentionally gather personal information about users who are under the age of 13.

Anonymous Information: Atlanta on the Cheap collects non-personally identifying, aggregate information about its users, such as search engine keywords, referring/edit pages, pages visited, geographic region, operating system, browser information, date/time stamp, and hyperlinks clicked. Atlanta on the Cheap uses this information for a variety of purposes, such as analyzing trends, evaluating its marketing strategies, and modifying its content. The aggregate information may be shared with and/or sold to third parties in a non-identifiable way.

IP Addresses: Atlanta on the Cheap automatically logs each user’s IP address with each visit and use of the website. The IP address may be linked with personally identifiable information. Unless otherwise noted in these Terms or as required by law, this information is not sold to or shared with third parties. The IP address may be used to block banned users from accessing Atlanta on the Cheap.

Advertising: Atlanta on the Cheap uses third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit its website, and it participates in Affilate Advertising networks. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Affiliate Programs: Atlanta on the Cheap participates in several affiliate programs including, but not limited to,  CJ.com (Entertainment, Restaurant.com, PlasticJungle, etc), Buy.at (Ticketmaster), Living Social, & My Daily Thread, and it is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Endless.com. Though the site earns some revenue via affiliate links, Atlanta on the Cheap retains full editorial control over the deals posted on the site. It limits the use of affiliate links to deals routinely posted on the site and identifies said links in applicable posts.

Contests. From time to time, Atlanta on the Cheap will host giveaways and contests on its blog. Neither Atlanta on the Cheap nor the Cities on the Cheap Official Member Site owners are responsible for the accuracy of the details of each freebie or fulfillment. The organization providing the item remains fully responsible for providing its description and handling fulfillment. Contest entrants agree to hold Atlanta on the Cheap, Cities on the Cheap, and the Cities on the Cheap Official Member Sites harmless in the event that an organization does not fulfill its obligations.

Cookies. Atlanta on the Cheap, its subscription management services, and/or its advertisers may use cookies to track users’ use of Atlanta on the Cheap and improve their navigation experience. If desired, users can adjust their web browser settings to block and/or remove cookies from the computer. Atlanta on the Cheap does not use cookies to track users browsing other websites. Atlanta on the Cheap is not responsible for any cookies used by advertisers and/or email subscription services, and it has no knowledge of how the information gathered by the cookies can or will be used.

Double-Click DART cookie: Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

Links to Other Sites. Atlanta on the Cheap contains links to other “On the Cheap” Official Member Sites as well as other websites, which are neither owned nor controlled by Atlanta on the Cheap. All local “On the Cheap” sites , including Atlanta on the Cheap, are independently owned and operated, and individual site owners pay a reasonable fee to link to Cities on the Cheap and use any logos, banners and/or other information owned by Cities on the Cheap. When users click on a link to an Official Member Site, Cities on the Cheap, or any other link that takes them to another website, they have left Atlanta on the Cheap’s website.  Atlanta on the Cheap is not responsible for the privacy policies of other sites. By providing links to other sites, Atlanta on the Cheap does not guarantee, approve, or endorse the information or products available at these sites.

Official Member Sites: Only “On the Cheap” sites linked to on the Cities on the Cheap “Find Your City” page are part of Cities on the Cheap’s network of “Official Member Sites.” All Cities on the Cheap Official Member Sites choose and control their own content, advertising, and subscription management services. Owners of Official Member Sites may not plagiarize their content, accept payment for writing about a product or service, or use images without permission. Owners of Official Member Sites may accept media compensated tickets and similar items, provided that they do not promise editorial coverage in exchange. Official Member Sites that violate these terms will be removed from the Cities on the Cheap “Find Your City” page and lose the right to use any Cities on the Cheap-owned content and/or images on their websites.

Atlanta on the Cheap Content: Atlanta on the Cheap’s owner can and will post about freebies, deals and discounts on Atlanta on the Cheap.  Atlanta on the Cheap’s owner posts the details of the deals as she finds them. Atlanta on the Cheap is not responsible for the accuracy of the details of each freebie, deal or discount or fulfillment. Users of Atlanta on the Cheap maintain sole responsibility for checking with vendors to verify the validity of each deal. All content on Atlanta on the Cheap is subject to the same standards as content created by Cities on the Cheap Official Member Sites. Atlanta on the Cheap can and will, with permission and attribution, repost some or all of content that appears on Atlanta on the Cheap onto Cities on the Cheap.  All posts’ authors retain copyright to his/her respective posts on Cities on the Cheap and Atlanta on the Cheap. When a post on Atlanta on the Cheap contains a link created via an Affiliate Advertising program, that relationship is disclosed to the site’s users in the same post.

Affiliates. Atlanta on the Cheap is owned by Jennifer Maciejewski, who also owns Cities on the Cheap. Atlanta on the Cheap does not currently have any subsidiaries, joint ventures, parent company, or similar affiliates. Should another company acquire Atlanta on the Cheap and/or its assets, it will own any information collected as outlined in these terms, and it will assume all rights and obligations regarding the protection and use of that information. Atlanta on the Cheap will inform subscribers of any change of ownership through its subscription services.

Security. Atlanta on the Cheap relies on industry-standard security technologies and procedures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and/or destruction. Atlanta on the Cheap cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with the personal information it collects, and a breech may occur.

Jurisdiction: Atlanta on the Cheap is based in Atlanta, Georgi. As such, any information collected by Atlanta on the Cheap and/or voluntarily provided by Atlanta on the Cheap users will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States. Should a dispute arise, Atlanta on the Cheap users and its Official Member Sites agree that any civil action or legal proceeding shall be brought in the local, state, and federal courts of record located closest to metro-Atlanta, Georgia or resolved under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (www.adr.org).

Terms Updates. The Atlanta on the Cheap Terms may be changed at any time and without notice. Should Atlanta on the Cheap undergo a change of ownership or make a substantial change regarding its use of personal information, Atlanta on the Cheap will notify individual subscribers using any subscription management services in place. Continued use of Atlanta on the Cheap’s subscription services and/or accessing its site indicates your acknowledgment of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.
