From 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., on March 2, 2013, the RAD Studio Cruise returns. The free annual event features art exhibits & sales at various galleries, live demonstrations, performances, refreshments & more. I’d like to shop the one-day sale at Kudzu Antiques & Vintage Home Store, check out the glassblowing demos at Atlanta Hot Glass, head over to Urban Grounds to get a chai latte & see works by local artist, and the list goes on.
The RAD Studio Cruise takes place along one mile stretch of CSX rail line that passes through downtown Avondale Estates, into Decatur’s Laredo Drive industrial area, and along East Ponce De Leon Ave into Scottdale. Hours may vary by venue, but you can use the map of studios on the RAD (Rail Arts District) Studio Cruise to plan your route.
