I’ll be taking the girls to one of these performances:
On select dates through March, the Atlanta Opera will stage family performances of Stone Soup. Per the summary: “Based on the classic children’s fable about a community that comes together to feed a lost and lonely soldier, Stone Soup is a magical story that teaches us all how to be better friends and neighbors.”
Even better: At $7 each, tickets are cheap. And it’s convenient to attend, as Stone Soup will be performed at multiple locations in metro Atlanta:
- Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.: Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Drive, Decatur
- Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3:00 p.m.: Decatur High School, 310 N. McDonough St., Decatur
- Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.: Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, Atlanta
