From 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012, teens age 15+ can head to the Greene Family Education Center at the High Museum of Art for a free ArtsVibe Open Studio event. This week, teens can get creative while working on a variety of projects with a Jacket Remix & Handmade Gift Wrap theme, and they can use the fabric and sewing machines in the Fashion Lab to make a one-of-a-kind outfit. Drinks & snacks will be provided, too.
Can’t make it? On Friday, December 21, 2012, the Holiday Teen Takeover will take place at 1280 Gallery at the Woodruff Arts Center. From 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., there’ll be music by local teen DJs, dancing, mural painting, and games, and it’s the opening night for the Teen Photography Exhibition. Dress is classy casual or ugly sweater–your call. If you opt for the ugly sweater, you can compete in the Ugly Holiday Sweater competition for a chance to win theatre or symphony tickets. RSVP to save your spot; must bring your student ID to attend.
