This looks like a fun & festive way to spend Saturday:
On December 15, 2012, The Holiday Spirit will take place at the Atlanta History Center. From 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., there’ll be demonstrations of everything from candle dipping to blacksmithing at Smith Family Farm, living history characters from the 1800s & 1900s, storytellers, holiday decorations & crafts, Radio Disney (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.), Vintage Vocals, & more.
The Holiday Spirit is free for members & included in the cost of admission for nonmembers. Want to go on the cheap? You’ve got a few ways to save:
- If you have a 2013 Entertainment book, you’ll find a BOGO coupon on page E58 of the 2013 edition. The online edition includes a bonus BOGO coupon (valid for 14 days once you hit print); I could access the online coupons as soon as I ordered my book.
- If you’re planning to visit multiple attractions in Atlanta, take advantage of the Atlanta CityPASS to save almost 50% on admission to five Atlanta-area attractions. The Georgia Aquarium ticket includes a Deepo Pass with Expedited Entry, Deepo’s 4-D theater, and the Dolphin Tales show (based on availability). The World of Coca-Cola ticket includes admission, the 4-D theatre, and a free keepsake bottle from the museum. Other attractions included are Inside CNN Studio Tour, Fernbank (includes IMAX, too) OR High Museum of Art, and Zoo Atlanta (includes All-Rides Wristband) OR Atlanta History Center. It’s valid for nine days, and if you plan it right, you’ll have two full weekends + the weekdays in between to get to all of the attractions.
The Atlanta History Center is located at 130 West Paces Ferry Rd., Atlanta. 404-814-4000
