Through January 6, 2013, you can see Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
I saw it last year, and it’s a cute production. The puppets are based on the classic TV special, and the Center for Puppetry Arts did an excellent job of making Rudolph & the rest of the misfit crew look just like the screen version. Last year, my girls made a Rudolph shadow puppet during the Create-A-Puppet workshop, and it was an instant hit in our home. I’ll find out this year’s puppet when we head out next week.
Tickets are regularly $16.50 each for nonmembers and $9.25 each for members. Want to see it on the cheap? You have a few ways to save:
- You can get tickets to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for $8.25 each, thanks to a deal on PoshDealz. As of today, PoshDealz has tickets available for the 1:00 p.m. performance on January 5, 2013.
- If you have an Atlanta Entertainment book, you’ll find BOGO all-inclusive ticket & 25% off Family Series coupons on page E53 in the 2013 edition. The online edition’s coupons exclude Rudolph, but there’s no mention of Rudolph in the tiny type of the print edition’s coupons (Rudolph is a Family Series show).
- Thanks to a deal on WSB’s Family 2 Family page, you can use promo code “WSB” to save 25% on tickets to Sunday performances of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The discount is valid through January 6, 2013; limit four discount tickets per purchase.
Want to skip the show & just check out the Jim Henson exhibitions & other puppets in the museum? From 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Thursdays, it’s free to tour the museum.
The Center for Puppetry Arts is located at 1404 Spring St. NW at 18th St., Atlanta.
