Where has this year gone? Or even this month? How is it already time for the annual Lighting of Atlantic Station?
The Lighting of Atlantic Station is one of Atlanta’s first tree lightings of the season, and it’ll take place on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
They don’t just flip a switch & call it a day. The day-long celebration in Central Park begins at noon and lasts until 9:00 p.m.. There’ll be arts & crafts as well as live performances Atlanta Concert Ringers, Jordan Grassi, Georgia Tech Glee Club, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Brass, Horizon Theater’s Madeline Girls, & more.
The Alliance Theatre’s Scrooge & Santa Claus arrive at 7:15 p.m., the tree lights up at 8:00 p.m., and there’ll be a post-tree lighting fireworks show.
