Want to honor those who have served, fought, died, or are missing in action in defense of freedom? Head to Atlanta for the Georgia Veterans Day Parade on Saturday.
The parade steps off at 11:11 a.m. on November 10, 2012, at Peachtree Street (south of Ralph McGill/Ivan Allen Blvd) and then turns right on Baker Street towards Centennial Olympic Park, The World of Coca Cola, and Georgia Aquarium. This year’s parade will be grand-marshaled by Tim Abell an actor & producer who is also a U.S. Army veteran that served both the 2/75th Ranger Bn and 3rd US Infantry.
To skip the traffic, take MARTA downtown.
Whether you make it to the parade or not, remember to thank any servicemen and women you know (or even just pass in the street) for their courage & sacrifice. I’ll be doing the same, starting now: Thank you.
