I’ve never been to the Chomp & Stomp Chili Cookoff & Festival in Cabbagetown, but it sounds like fun:
From 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2012, you can stop by Cabbagetown Park to sample chili, shop the artists’ market, listen to some bluegrass music, & more.
If you’re planning to sample the chili, get there early, and bring some cash–it’s $5 a spoon if you’re tastin’ chili, and don’t expect huge portions. As the festival organizers have noted in the past, “it’s a contest, not a soup kitchen.”
