you can take advantage of free activities for kids—crafts & workshops, life-size chess games, appearances by local sports mascots, street performers, family-friendly performances, and more. I say it’s for kids, but it’s truly fun for the whole family.
The Fourth Saturday Family Fun Day starts at noon and runs until 4:00 p.m., and it takes place every month from April-September. Each week has a different theme, so plan to go month after month. Here’s 2011′s schedule:

- May 28: Flights & Kites
- June 25: Great Outdoors
- July 23: It’s About Sports
- August 27: Games & Gadgets
- September 24: Our Many Cultures
