Darn, this deal has expired.
Don’t miss another. Subscribe to email updates, follow @atlcheap on Twitter, or like Atlanta on the Cheap on Facebook. And be sure check the calendar for the latest deals.
du Soleil’s Ovo is currently taking place at Atlantic Station. I had access to media passes to the premiere, but I used them for a recent giveaway instead, as I’d already purchased tickets for my family. You’re welcome. It’s Cirque du Soleil, so it was hard to resist the temptation to go twice.
If you’re looking for cheap tickets, keep one thing in mind: Tickets are never cheap, but cheaper than face value is definitely possible. Here are three options–you’ll need to test out the various price-level tickets for your desired show time on the sites below to figure out which one will get the best deal; it varies:
- You’ll need to sign up with Goldstar to take advantage of this deal (it’s free to sign up). On the Atlanta page, you’ll find an offer for tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo for $30-$54 (reg. $50-$90). There’s a limited number of tickets available for each show, so act quickly if you want to take advantage of it. Several performances have sold out. As of 5:00 p.m, there were still tickets available for December 1-3 & 7-12.
- My Cirque Club email update included a link for 50% off price level 2 & 3 tickets for select performances. The prices are already reduced ($25-$35 for adults & $17.50-$24.50 for kids), and it’s valid for shows through January 2, 2011. You’ll likely need to register as a member of the Cirque Club to be able to purchase the deal. And you can save 25% on tickets to select performances, thanks to a Family Four Pack offer I came across in another email update. The discount applies to price level 1 tickets, too, dropping the price to $67.50 for adults & $47.25 for kids. The deals could end at any time, so if you click through & the prices have reverted back, it’s over.
- FYI–My book just expired, and I don’t have time to create a new account at the moment to check & see if there are still tickets available. If you do check, please post a comment letting us know what you find out. Jamie checked last week, and she noted that there are still tickets available + an extra deal on December 9th that drops prices to $25-$45 for the 4:00 p.m. show. And for select weekday & weekend performances in November & December, you can save almost 50% on tickets if you buy them via Entertainment. You can get Category 1 tickets (reg. $105 including fees) for $57 on weekdays, $65 on weeknights, and $90 on weekends. Category 2 (reg. $84 including fees) run $44.50-$70. And Category 3 (reg. $63 including fees) run $31.50-$50. I used the Entertainment offer to purchase my tickets a month or so ago. I went with Category 1 tickets for a weekday performance. Not cheap for a family of four, but I love their performances, and I think the kids will have a fabulous time. If you have a 2010 or 2011 Entertainment book, you’ll need to register your book (there’s a card inside the cover). After you log in, you can access the “Events & Attractions” tab. I have a book, so I used this method. Once you get to that section, there’s an image for “Theme Parks, Shows, and Attractions”–click that, then click on “Cirque du Soleil Nationwide” and scroll down the list until you find Atlanta. Entertainment also has an option to buy an online membership (on the splash page, click on the image of the book, then look in the upper-left corner of the screen for a link). It’s $4.95/month for access, and you can cancel within a month & get your money back. Buying the online membership gives you access to the “Events & Attractions” tab once you log in (Thanks, Julie, for letting us know that it worked!).
FYI–The Goldstar & Cirque discounts are likely your best bet. Definitely work the numbers on the various sites, especially as the fees vary. I still saved at least $110 via Entertainment (at least $160 if all 4 tix were for adults), but I bought the tickets offering the best overall discount. I may have been able to get a better deal buying via one of the other sites, especially since two of our tickets are for kids.

Thanks so much for this. I just got 3 level 2 tickets for $35 a piece through signing up for Cirque Club . Best deal I’ve found! Thanks!
Dee Dee,
What is the date & Time of the performance you got $35 a piece? Does that price include all the fees and taxes?
