With Spring Break coming up, Iimage know some of you are looking for cheap tickets to Stone Mountain Park. Here are the discounts I’ve found so far + a bonus: I’ve also got five family four packs to giveaway, too. The freebies will be valid during Stone Mountain Park’s Spring FUN Break, April 2-10, so if you’re traveling, skip entering.

1) As always, if you’re planning to go more than once (and there’s so much to do, you’ll probably need to), buy the season pass. I’ll note deals on those below, too.

2) You can get save $4 on Daily Adventure passes or $5 on Mountain Memberships (Mountain Membership = annual pass) at area Kroger stores. Just ask for them at the register.

3) If you’re not in the mood to do it all, opt to buy passes to attractions a la carte. They’re $7/child (ages 3-11) or $9/adult, but if you plan to buy three, it’s cheaper to get a Daily Adventure ticket at Kroger.

A note about parking: If you walk or ride a bike to Stone Mountain Park, there’s no parking fee. Otherwise, it’s $10. If you must drive, spring for the $35 annual permit if you you live near Stone Mountain Park & plan to visit at least four times a year, whether to take advantage of free special events or the park’s free outdoor activities and laser show.  Or you can pick up an annual parking pass for $20 per vehicle if you buy a Mountain Membership annual pass, too–you’ll break even after two or three visits.

As for the giveaway, here’s how to enter: Post a comment (one per email address). That’s it. At 3 p.m. on Friday, I’ll let the random number generator choose five winners (one per family four-pack of tickets), and then I’ll email you with details.

One more thing you need to know: The system randomly requires me to moderate about 40% of the comments. You can’t see them, but I can, so please don’t repost. Give me some time to approve it so that it shows up in the list.

Stone Mountain Park is located at 1000 Robert E. Lee Dr., Stone Mountain. Technically, the main entrance is located at U.S. Highway 78 East, Exit 8, Stone Mountain, but online mapping programs don’t often like the address. 770-498-5690

Good luck!
