I played trumpet in middle/high school, but this sounds like a fun concert: On Saturday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m., The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets & the Army Ground Forces Band will join forces (ha!) for “Sound the Trumpets,” a free concert at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech.
During the concert, you’ll hear trumpets played the way they’re meant to be played (as opposed to the painful sound that ways my playing….), including “Olympic Fanfare and Theme,” “Liberty Fanfare,” and “Quiet City.” You know they’re good—they’re the official fanfare ensemble for the president of the United States.
