Per the AJC, Zoo Atlanta reopened today after being closed for three days due to ice. And they mentioned another deal: Zoo Atlanta is now offering a “Cheat the Chill” promotion. When temperatures fall below 45 degrees (like today), you can buy tickets for 50% off. Sorry—no online ticketing for this one—they’ll check the temperature when you’re at the admission gate to determine your price.

We’re members, so we may wait until the temperature is closer to 50 degrees before we head out. That said, it’s worth the trip even in chilly temps. Quite a few of the animals, especially the pandas, like the cold, and they’re much more active.
