Quite a few good deals on Amazon.com right now:

• Amazon.com is offering a fun freebie for the holidays: You can get a free movie rental on Amazon.com. The credit is good for $4 toward anything on Amazon Video on Demand—I haven’t tried it yet, but based on the description, you should be able to use it toward several of the $0.99 rentals or one of the more expensive options. There are some freebies, too. To get the deal, use promo code “AVODGIFT” on Amazon Video on Demand by 11:59 PT on January 3, 2010.
• Need some traditional holiday music on the cheap? You can download Dean Martin’s "A Winter Romance" (MP3 Album) for $2.99 on Amazon.com. The deal could end at any time, so if you click through & the $2.99 price is gone, it’s over.
• During the 25 Days of Free, you can download a new free holiday MP3 every day through Christmas. Each song will only be available for a limited time, so if you want it, snag it when you see it.
• Through Dec. 26, you can buy new, gift, or renewal magazine subscriptions starting from $5 on Amazon.com. $5 buys you a year’s subscription to Southern Living, This Old House, Health, Golf, Coastal Living, Essence or Sunset magazines. $10 buys a year’s subscription to Entertainment Weekly or InStyle magazine. If you buy it as a gift, you can print out a gift card, too, to let them know what they’ll be reading.
