Holiday Lights on the Cheap: Lights of Life for $5/Car
Posted By admin on December 21, 2009
I’m disappointed that the AJC doesn’t pull together listings of the best neighborhood holiday lights displays. If you know of an awesome one, please post the location in the comments.
At the community level, you’ll find free holiday lights at Centennial Olympic Park, Atlantic Station, and various other spots in town.
Looking for a more elaborate holiday lights display but don’t want to spend much money? Through Dec. 31, check out the Lights of Life at Life University. We went last year, and we’re going back again this year. Here’s why:
1) It’s cheap–$5/car & $10/van.
2) It’s pretty. My girls loved every bit of the 1.5-mile drive.
3) It’s convenient. Life University is just a couple of miles OTP off I-75.
Lights of Life is located on the campus of Life University on Barclay Circle, Marietta. It’s off Hwy 41, just north of Dobbins AFB.

Bonus: Check out Atlanta with Kid’s list of five awesome displays–homes in Cumming, Lawrenceville, Kennesaw & Smyrna.

I was hoping for the same list. I don’t have a list of the cool neighborhood but I do have the list of 5 Spectacular homes with amazing Christmas lights around Atlanta area.

Lights of Life is great especially for the price. We live nearby and we go at least twice every season. THere is also a little place to get out and get some hot chocolate, or do a pony ride or go to a small petting zoo. For the price you just can’t beat it. I think we are heading over there tonight for our final run through of the season. Definately check it out and enjoy!
