Reminder: 700 Sundays Ticket Discount
Posted By admin on December 17, 2009
I saw Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays last night. If you haven’t seen it, you should consider it. I know it’s expensive, but the TravelZoo offer will save you a bit on good seats, and there’s a cheaper option, too.
700 Sundays is funny, yes, but it’s such a poignant play. I’ve been there, done that re: losing a parent far too young (my mom passed when I was 21), and I spent much of the second act nodding in agreement—I know full well the weight of that boulder & the sense of “otherness”.
In the lighter moments—and there are many—I laughed. A lot. I haven’t laughed that much in a long time. I felt like I was hearing stories about my own relatives, sans all the jazz musicians & Jewish people. Speaking of, I had no idea that Crystal’s family was so instrumental in the jazz music industry—his uncle founded Commodore Records, and his father got involved with the business, too. Billy Crystal literally grew up with the legends—Billie Holiday, Satchmo (my favorite), and the list goes on. They even played jazz in his living room. Wow. Just wow.
With the Travelzoo offer, you can save up to $15 on tickets to Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays, which will be at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre from Dec. 16-20.
To get the deal, order tickets online & use promo code “TZOO”. The offer is valid on the $70 & $75 tickets only, and after the discount, the seats are $55 on Thursday and Sunday, and $65 on Friday & Saturday.
Once you add in Ticketmaster’s fees, you’ll only save a few dollars off the regular price of each ticket. My advice? If you have time, try printing out the Ticketmaster page listing the deal & bringing it to the box office to see if they’ll honor it.
There’s a $30 ticket option, too, but for this type of show, I like to sit as close to the stage as I can afford. His facial expressions are hilarious.

FYI–I’ve linked you directly to the ordering page using my affiliate link. Translation: I get credit for telling you about the deal, and they may choose to send a few cents my way to say, “Thanks for the referral.” I tell you this because a) My site’s rules require it. b) The FTC requires it.
I like to get paid for the work that I do re: tracking down deals, so if you plan to take advantage of the deal via Ticketmaster & feel like sending a little love my way, please use the link. Otherwise, go to Ticketmaster.com. Though by now you know my take on this–whenever possible, skip the fees altogether & buy your tickets at the box office.
