Holiday Happenings in Atlantic Station

Posted By admin on December 16, 2009

If you decide to check out one of Atlantic Station’s holiday happenings, make a better decision than we did. We stopped by after an afternoon showing of The Princess & The Frog (very cute, but I digress), and let’s just say that we weren’t even close to dressed for the weather. We were freezing, but we still had fun.

My girls loved the tree (especially my youngest, who said she couldn’t see the top) & the deer lights. That would have been enough for them, but they were over the moon when it started to snow. Weather permitting, through the end of the year it’ll snow in Atlantic Station on weeknights at 7:30 p.m. & hourly on Fridays & Saturdays from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

I loved the holiday shops. I must go back, as I wasn’t wearing the right shoes to browse last week, but I saw a lot of potential gifts (especially for my part of the tree). The artisans will be selling their wares from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. through Dec. 31.

I’m going to use one of the free Music + Merriment events as my excuse to go back this week. There’ll be free performances on Dec. 17-19 in Central Park, featuring The ConSoulTant, The Union Grove Show Choir, Deerwood Academy Chorus, Vision to Hear, Whiteford Elementary Chorus and Dancers, and Imagine Wesley International Academy Chorus.

And I’m going to print out & bring this page of coupons with me (I may need several copies). There are coupons for one free gift wrap with an Atlantic Station purchase on Dec. 19-20, 25% off one regularly priced item at about a dozen locations on Dec. 18-20, a free soft drink with food purchase at several restaurants on Dec. 18-20, BOGO Front Row parking on Dec. 16-17, & $1 off Steel Mill Express Train Ride tickets on Dec. 18-20.

thanks for the suggestions Jennifer, I am going to do just as you stated and will probably take the kids during the week, before the holiday crowds.
