Not familiar with it? Verdi’s opera tells the story of Amneris, an Egyptian princess, who intends to marry Radames, the next leader of the Egyptian army. The only problem with her plan is that Radames is in love with Aida, an Ethiopian princess who also happens to be an enslaved prisoner of war. When Amneris finds out about the relationship, she sets out to destroy them both.
Aida will be at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre from February 24-March 10, 2010. The Cobb Energy Centre is located at 2800 Cobb Galleria Pkwy, Atlanta.

Looks like SAVVY works for the Ballet not the Opera. Am hoping for tix to Aida…will keep checking.
That’s so frustrating–I just pulled out the ad again to make sure I wasn’t imagining things, and “Savvy” should work for Aida, too. There’s no expiration date listed either. I’ll reach out to my contact at the Atlanta Opera for a new deal.
