I’m intrigued by this production: Theatrical Outfit’s Amahl & The Night Visitors sounds like an excellent way to introduce children to opera—it’s in English, and it’s only 50 min. long. Plus, the story is easy for them to understand. Traveling Magi seek rest with an impoverished woman and her crippled son, Amahl. During their encounter, they receive gifts, both spiritual & material. Amahl is mysteriously healed, and he joins the kings on their journey to find the Christ child.
