Where has this year gone? How is it already time for the annual Lighting of Atlantic Station?
The Lighting of Atlantic Station is Atlanta’s first tree lighting of the year, and it’ll take place on Saturday, November 21.
They don’t just flip a switch & call it a day. There’s a daylong celebration that begins at 2:00 p.m. on November 21 & features an open-air market, street performers, a miniature children’s train ride, a holiday fashion show, and a free screening of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
The tree lighting ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. with performances by The Alliance Theater, “Panache” from The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and the Georgia State Brass Ensemble, a visit from Santa Claus, and, of course, the lighting of Atlantic Station’s 50-foot tree.
