If your kids have ever raided the pantry to build something out of your canned goods (& even if they haven’t), you’ll appreciate this exhibition:
Through Nov. 15, 2009, you can see CANstruction 2009 “Restacking the Pieces” at Underground Atlanta. Billed as the most unique food charity in the world, I’d have to agree that it’s just that. Architects, designers & engineers compete in the design-build competition to create structures out of canned goods, from The Very Hungry Caterpillar to a phoenix.
Once you see them, you can vote online for the best work of art—the online pics don’t do them justice. Stop by & check them out. After the De-CANstruction, the food will be donated to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
