Calling all Princesses (Princes, too): Once Upon a Princess Day at the Georgia Aquarium on Nov. 21 (Translation: Free Child Admission)
Posted By admin on November 11, 2009
I don’t know about you all, but my girls have enough princess costumes in the house to clothe a small village. And even my oldest is still very much so in the princess phase, but now she’s old enough to try & outrank her sister when they play dress up—“I’m a queen, no, an empress!”
Now you can cash in on their obsession & treat them to a fun day out at Atlanta’s fish tank, too:
November 21 is “Once Upon a Princess” Day at the Georgia Aquarium. What does that mean for you? If you have girls age 12 & under, and they wear their princess costume, they can get into the Georgia Aquarium for free (one free child admission per paid adult). Boys age 12 & under are included in the freebie, too, and they have two options—they can come as princes or frogs.
Making it a better deal for those whose girls still stare in awe when they see an adult dressed as Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel, there’ll be photo opportunities with each of the princesses. And there’ll be princess parades, games, and more.
Why have a “Once Upon a Princess” Day? The event is presented by Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Princess and the Frog” (random aside—I’m beyond excited about this one), and the day will serve as a benefit for frog conservation (another random aside—I love frogs. They’re adorable).
Can’t make it? Don’t forget about these other Georgia Aquarium discounts:
- You can still buy Me & Mommy tickets through Nov. 19, 2009. $25 covers parking, one adult admission, and admission for up to four kids ages 5 & under. There are a few blackout dates, but it’s good for most days on Monday-Friday. You have until Dec. 13 to use the pass.
- Wear your Falcons gear, and you can get admission tickets for $20 each on the Friday before each Atlanta Falcons home game. Upcoming Fridays include Nov. 6 & 27 and Dec. 4 & 11.
The Georgia Aquarium is located at 225 Baker St., Atlanta. 404-581-4000.

What a fun idea! I’m sending to all my favorite little girls.
