Free Storytelling & Puppet Shows: Folk Tales by the Rails in Kennesaw on November 14

Posted By admin on November 10, 2009

I love storytellers. My only gripe with them is that they remind me of how pathetic I sound when I try & tell a story.

If you’re like me, you may want to take advantage of this free event so that your kids can learn how it’s really done:

On November 14, Folk Tales by the Rails will take place at The Depot in Kennesaw. The festivities start at 4:00 p.m. & run through 9:30 p.m., and there’s plenty to see & do. There’s free storytelling, music, dancing, crafts, poetry, & even puppet shows. Lee Bryan, better known as “That Puppet Guy,” will perform two free shows of “The Zany Zoo” near the Depot stage. The puppet shows will start at 7:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m.

Oh, and kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character & compete in the costume contest, which will take place near the Depot stage at 5:30 p.m.

It sounds like a fun day out. I hope the weather cooperates, as it was rescheduled from its original date in Oct. due to rain.
