It’s the first Thursday of the month, which means it’s time for the First Thursdays ArtsWalk Downtown:

• During the First Thursdays ArtsWalk Downtown, local galleries stay open late, giving you a chance to see what you want to see, when you want to see it. Participating galleries include the Museum of Design, The GSU School of Art & Design Gallery, the GSU Art Student Union Exhibit Project, the Arts for All Gallery at VSA Arts of GA, The Rialto Center for the Arts, the Paige Harvey Art Studio (the only artist’s studio on the artwalk), and the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Gallery. The First Thursdays ArtsWalk Downtown lasts from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. To plan your route, click here for a map of the venues. FYI—There’s free parking from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. in the Lanier Parking Deck behind the library if you get your ticket stamped at the library’s front desk. Or you can take advantage of free evening event parking at the United Way parking garage.
