Fall “Friends of the Library” Book Sale at Jim R. Miller Park, Oct. 16-18
Posted By admin on October 16, 2009
Each March & October, the Friends of the Library holds a book sale to benefit the Cobb County Public Library System. I stopped by earlier today to check it out, and I have no idea how they make any money—the prices are ridiculously low for books, CDs, videos, & more. I only had a little time, so I stuck with the young adult section. I bought 12 paperbacks & 2 hardback books & paid a whopping $4.
I want to go back & browse through the fiction books, but that may prove too time consuming. There are more than 100,000 items for sale, and they’re not alphabetized. I could find a few of the titles I want, but I can guarantee that I’d have to hunt for them.
Want to check it out? You have until 5:00 p.m. tonight or you can go this weekend. They’re open from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday & 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Jim. R. Miller Park is located at 2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta.
