Chastain Park Arts Festival + World Record Attempt: Oct. 17 & 18
Posted By admin on October 15, 2009
On October 17-18, a new festival will join Atlanta’s fall festival scene: The Chastain Park Arts Festival. The event will emphasize the visual arts, so if you’re a fan, you’ll want to check it out. And there’ll be free live jazz music by Cliff DeMarks.
Plus, the festival’s organizers have decided to add another event to the mix: Setting the Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Pies. On Sunday, you can bring your pie or make a $10 donation to get one on site. They’ll start lining them up on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2:30 p.m. & continue until they’re done & it’s measured. And all pies will be donated to local food banks & shelters, so there won’t be any waste. BUT, you’ll need to register to participate, so stop by the Costco tent on Saturday or Sunday to register & find out more info.
The Chastain Park Arts Festival will be held at Chastain Park (natch), near the amphitheater, the horse barn, & gold course. If you need directions, use this address: 4469 Stella Dr., Atlanta.
