Target Free Family Day at Woodruff Arts Center on Sunday, Oct. 18—Includes Free Admission to the High

Posted By admin on October 12, 2009

Though I knew about the Target Free Family Day at the Woodruff Arts Center on Sunday, October, 18, I hadn’t scoped out the details when I posted about discounts to the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at The High. As Beth noted in a comment, free admission to the High is part of the deal. Here’s more info:

The Woodruff Arts Center Target Free Family Day will take place on Sunday, October 18, from noon-5:00 p.m.  Five hours doesn’t seem like long enough to take advantage of everything they have to offer—you’ll be able to sample free programs & events at the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the High Museum of Art, & Young Audiences.

My kids adore instruments of all kinds, so I suspect they’ll want to visit the ASO’s instrument petting zoo. There are acting workshops (as if the drama queens I know really need instruction), plus the Alliance Theatre will perform “Middle School the Musical”. You’ll get free admission to the High Museum of Art, which also means that it’s free to check out the “Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius” exhibition. And more.
