Six Flags Over Georgia: Military Appreciation Donation Drive (5 Donations = $100 in Coupons) + Free Admission on Military Appreciation Days

Posted By admin on September 15, 2009

Two great ways to support the troops at Six Flags Over Georgia during September:

1) During the Military Appreciation Donation Drive (September 19, 20, 26, & 27), if you donate five items for care packages sent to servicemen & women overseas, you’ll receive a coupon book with $100 worth of in-park savings. Stick to the official donation list—soldiers can’t store bulky items, so you’re buying things like flavored drink mixes in the packet, not large containers, or crackers in single-serving packages.

2) As a thank you to active members of the U.S. military, Six Flags Over Georgia is offering the men & women free admission. You’ll need to bring your military I.D. to get the deal, and it’s good for reservists, too. Bonus #1: The free admission includes the member of the military & up to two dependents. Bonus #2: If you need more tickets, you can buy them for half off at the gate. Bonus #3: If your spouse is deployed, you can bring the ID & get in free in their place.

The only catch is that you’ll need to show up on your designated day to take advantage of the free entry:

  • September 19: Air Force
  • September 20: Navy & Coast Guard
  • September 26: Army
  • September 27: Marines

P.S. Thank you for your service. I forever grateful to you for the sacrifices you & your families make.

WHAT ABOUT THE SINGLE SOLDIERS WHO HAVE NO DEPENDENTS? EVERYONE FORGETS ABOUT THEM. MOST OF THE SOLDIERS WHO HAVE DIED IN IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN ARE SINGLE SOLDIERS WITH NO DEPENDENTS.

IF THE SINGLE SOLDIER SHOWS UP, WILL HE HAVE TO ENTER ALONE, OR CAN HE INVITE A FRIEND?

    REMEMBER SINGLE SOLDIERS.

  2. Brenda says:

My husband is retired Navy, can we get in free on the day for Navy? I didn’t see anything in the write up about the retirees. I think they deserve something as well. We do support our troops 100%. We spent 23 years in the military and loved every minute of it. My husband was away from his family 13 years of the 23. Our family loves our country and that is why he served.

  3. Soldiers that have no dependants will be able to bring two friends in place of dependants.

Last year my husband and myself and three kids got in for free, did they change that for this year, i just want to make sure?

  5. Tracy says:

What about the dependants that are too young to have a military ID? Also, my husband is at training and will not return until October 5th? Will I be allowed in with my military ID (Without him)?

  6. admin says:

Shauna, the only details I have are from Six Flags’ site. Based on that, you’d need to buy a child ticket. Of course, if you both have IDs, you could split up the kids between you & be covered.

Tracy, my understanding is that your military ID will cover admission for you & up to two kids.
