Admission to the Hot Air Balloon Festival at Callaway Gardens isn’t cheap: It’s $20 per adult, and $10 per child ages 6-12 (those age 5 & under are free). But you can get in for 50% off. Just arrive before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday & Sunday morning.

The balloons will launch at 7:15 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. on both days, weather permitting, and the U.S. Hwy. 27 Beach gate will open at 6:00 a.m. both days, so you’ll be able to get in.

There’s plenty to do to keep you occupied while you wait for the evening launch if you don’t want to get up at the crack of dawn for the sunset flights. The cost of admission includes access to Callaway Gardens & its many attractions—swimming, paddleboats, mini-golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, bubbles, kite flying, sand castle building, sidewalk chalk art, and, of course, the gardens themselves. Oh, and a classic car show, a disc dog competition, and other events will be going on, too.

Plus, there’ll be other activities that require a fee—water slides, rock climbing wall, bungee jump, tie-dye t-shirts, and tethered balloon rides.
