Cheap Tickets to Blood Knot & for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf

I’ve read Shange’s “for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf,” but the experience is similar to reading most plays—you miss a lot when you don’t see it on stage. Based on the book version, that’s true. It’s a powerful work. Love, abandonment, rape, abortion—few topics are out of bounds during the play.
I’m not familiar with “Blood Knot,” but the premise sounds interesting, as the story centers around two half-brothers—one white, the other black—in Apartheid-era South Africa.
Discount tickets to both shows are available through AtlanTIX, both online & at the booths.
“Blood Knot” will be at The Balzer Theaer at Herren’s, 84 Luckie St. NW, Atlanta, through August 2.
“for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf” will be at the Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, Atlanta, through August 9.

I tried this promo code (ATlanTIX) for “For Colored Girls” but ticketalternative.com says the code is invalid.
AtlanTIX isn’t a promo code, it’s a discount ticket service. Generally, it’s same- or next-day tickets for half price (+ fees). Click on the “for colored girls…” title in the post, and that will take you to the site to find out more.
