Swim Cheap at the Piedmont Park Aquatic Center
Posted By admin on July 3, 2009
Membership at the Piedmont Park Aquatic Center is a bit steep: $365 for a family of 3 or more. Ouch. You do get member benefits (member only swim hours, a parking pass good for 25 visits, & unlimited visits), but that’s still steep if your budget is tight right now. Even if you maxed out your usage, your sunblock costs alone might drive you into bankruptcy.
A better option: Pay by the day. Admission is $2/child (16 & under), $4/adult (17-64), & $2/senior (65 & up).
The Piedmont Park Aquatic Center is open through September 7, 2009. General admission swim times are 11:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 12:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It’s located right in the middle of Piedmont Park in Atlanta, so check the map to see which entrance works best for you. 404-875-7275.

An even better deal… it’s FREE to swim at the Piedmont Park pool every weekday until 1:30 p.m. We went today and expected to pay the daily fee but was pleasantly surprised. It’s a cool pool, with fun amenities. The only downside is that it’s a bit small and crowded. At least today it was really busy.
