Live Your Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy

Posted on | December 31, 2008 |

Last night, I had the chance to see an amazing show at the Cobb Energy Centre: Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy. The first show of its kind performed on Broadway, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy brings the circus to the stage, sans live animals. Set against the backdrop of a fantastical jungle, an international cast of spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, and more astound audiences with their feats of athleticism mixed with art.

Tickets start at $15, and since there isn’t a bad seat in the house at the Cobb Energy Center, you don’t have to splurge for a good view. Want to see it even cheaper? When you order online, select the desired number of tickets next to “Charity Offer–Camp Sunshine” and enter promo code Shine. You’ll save $5 off of each ticket, plus an additional $5 will be donated to Camp Sunshine, which offers programs for children with cancer and their families.

If you bring the family to the 1:00 matinee today, December 31, stick around after the show for a post-show treat. Kids can meet the cast, get an up-close view of the costumes, and learn beginner cirque tricks.

Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy runs through January 4 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta.

Update re: $15 seats: I found $15 & $20 seats for the New Year’s Eve 8:00 p.m. show on Ticketmaster. For the Camp Sunshine deal, the best deal was for $30 seats. Hunt around through the other shows, too; there are still $15 & $20 seats available. For details on in-person ticket sales, give the Cobb Energy Centre a quick call at 770-916-2800.

Looking at Ticketmaster, i do not see any $15 seats. They also charge a convenience fee of $6.75 per ticket. Were they selling $15 at the gate? Thanks

Andrew–Checking on that…I pulled the ticket pricing info from press materials. Will post an update when I get an answer. Thanks!
